Upon returning to the land of his birth, he first became a South African Judo Champion before travelling the world, joining the Keith Anderson Flying Trapeze School where he was trained as a trapeze artist and acrobat.
He travelled Europe and America for 10 years, perfoming as a trapeze artist in various circus acts.
